Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives is famous for manta ray cleaning stations and whale shark encounters in the Indian Ocean. The tropical climate stays warm year-round, averaging 86°F (30°C) in the dry season from November to April, ideal for diving at Kuredu Island's reefs, and the wetter months from May to October, with temperatures around 82°F (28°C), offer cheaper accommodation and still good conditions for snorkeling along the eastern side. During the dry winter, you can see manta rays at Hanifaru Bay, while the summer brings stronger currents for drift diving.
